वो वीर बेटा (वीर रस पर आधारित)

 
आंधी आई, तूफान आये
बादल गरजे घन घन घन
कोड़ों  की बरसात हुई
पर अटल रहा उसका हर प्रण
छिनी उसकी आज़ादी
तिल तिल तड़पाया हर एक क्षण

खून बहा पानी की भाँति
जोखिम हुआ उसका तन मन |

हर एक मार पे की उसने
भारत माता की जय जय कार
हँसता हुआ वो बोला उनसे:
"कभी ना होगी मेरी हार
मैं हूँ भारत मां का बेटा
मेरी जननी, मेरा संसार
मुझको न तुम डरा सकोगे
तुम्हारे दिन हैं बस दो चार |

आज़ादी लाऊंगा मैं
वादा है ये मेरी माँ से
ममता का मैं कर्ज भरुंगा
अपने रक्तिम प्राणों से।"
गोली चली उसके माथे पर
गिरा धरा पे वो धर से

गूँज उठी जय हिन्द, जय हिन्द 
रेत की हर एक कण-कण से |

I will Adapt

I close the door and cry

cry and cry and cry
suppressing the scream in my voice
till my eyes feel dry

and no more tears flow
the sobbing becomes slow
when nothingness grasps over me 
and it feels hollow.

It's all over deep down
fake smile below a frown
forced exchange of words
eyebags black and brown.

A dream cherished not long ago
now scattered ready to let go
pretence and role-play ahead
for the mutual obligations we owe.

Plan Well Before Speaking on a Public Platform

As Margeret Atwood said, “A voice is a human gift; it should be cherished and used, to utter fully human speech as possible. Powerlessness and silence go together.” Indeed, we are one of the most superior creatures on Earth being gifted with the most sophisticated form of communication. With our intelligence and technology, we have taken it even further to an altogether different level where communication is the key to everything. Internet is the biggest example, which lets us communicate irrespective of our location or familiarity with others. Communication has made every individual powerful like never before in history.

With power comes responsibility. History vouches for it that great communicators become great leaders. Therefore, it is important that we use every platform and opportunity of communication sensitively and responsibly. For, every word that we utter might influence someone, leading them take important decisions in their lives. What we say also represents who we are and, unless we are able to choose and put our words rightly, we might be misjudged by others. This obviously indicates that what we speak needs to be extremely relevant and we should really design it well; so none can play around with our words.

Public speaking, especially, is a platform that gives us an opportunity to speak one-to-many, and achieve visibility and popularity in our domain, whether we are students, professionals, etc. Therefore, we should go really prepared in line with what exactly we want to speak and who exactly is our audience.

There are a few steps we need to follow to deliver a good speech:

1.     Know your audience well.

2.     Understand the occasion and its objectives.

3.     Understand the topic and the current trends on it.

4.     Find out about the time limit for your speech.

5.     Put your thoughts in a coherent manner with an introduction, a body and a conclusion.

6.     Depending on the topic, you can end your speech open-ended or close ended.

7.     Choose vocabulary in such a way that it is perfectly comprehensible to your audience.

8.     Avoid repetitions of words and thoughts.

9.     Utilize the limited time given to you with new and multiple ideas.

10. Always greet your audience at the outset.

11. Have the right expressions and tone.

12. End with an impressionable statement, followed by thanking the audience.

जीव जंतु हमारा वरदान

सोचो अगर इस पृथ्वी में
ना होता कोई दूजा प्राणी
चारो तरफ बस होते मनुष्य
करते हुए अपनी मनमानी

विज्ञान में विषय कम होते
पाठ्यक्रम भी होता सहज
चिड़ियाघर तुम ना जा पाते
जंगल में घूमते बेझिजग

पर पेड़ भी तो है एक प्राणी
पेड़ नहीं तो जंगल कहा?
चारो तरफ रेगिस्तान होता
कैसा अजीब होता ये जहाँ?

पेड़ ही देता स्वच्छ हवा
फल, फूल और छाया
पेड़ो के बिना इस जग की
पलट जाएगी काया

जानवर भी हैं बहुत ज़रूरी
आहार श्रृंखला का अंश
उसके बिना पारितंत्र अधूरा
ख़त्म हो जाएगा मानव वंश

गाये देती दूध हंमे
घोड़े देते हमें सवारी
मुर्गी देती पौष्टिक अंडे
कुत्ते देते वफादार यारी

केंचुए, भवरे, मधुमक्खी भी
देते है अपना सहयोग
इन सबके योगदान से
हम करते जीवन उपभोग

हर एक छोटे बड़े प्राणी की
अपनी भूमिका इस जग में
ये वसुंधरा है अजर
सब प्राणी के संग सहअस्तित्व में

जीव जंतु है एक वरदान
हमेशा करो इनका सम्मान
जियो खुद जीने दो इन्हे
सृष्टि का न करो अपमान

याद रखो हमेशा तुम
इनके बिना तुम हो रिक्त
ध्यान रखो सब जीवों का
इनके साथ तुम विकसित

देशप्रेम

देश प्रेम है ऐसा प्रेम
जिसमे स्वार्थ नहीं होता
गर्व की अनुभूति होती है
कोई एक तात्पर्य नहीं होता

भेदभाव से परे ये रहता
एकता को करता समर्थक
इसके आगे हर निजी भावना
बन जाती है निरर्थक

Siachen की थरथराती हुई
रगो में बस्ता है ये
कूच की जलती वादियों में
शान से धड़कता है ये

अपनी जान की बाज़ी लगा कर
सीमा पर तैनात जवान
देश प्रेम है उस वीर की
छाती पर विराजमान

हर इंसान जो तिरंगे को देख
अपना शीश झुकाता है
हर वो सक्श जो जन गण सुनकर
गर्व से खड़े हो जाता है

हर वो इंसान जो धर्म से नहीं
मानवता से जीता है जीवन
वो सच्चा देशप्रेमी है
देश पे उसका प्राण अर्पण

Short Story: Reflection

She looked at her son, who was sitting as calm as a marble next to the dead body of her husband. His board exams were round the corner and, definitely, a deciding factor for his future. There were people all around the room, crying at their potentially doomed future. But, not a single drop of tear was flowing down her cheeks any more. She had had enough of it. She had been struggling for the last 6 months to hold the quickstand, slipping out of her grip. She walked up to her son stoically and smiled at him: #HappyStartsWithMe.
